New Blood Refrigerators & Plasma/Medical Freezers

Gallay is proud to announce the release of a new range of blood storage refrigerators from Italian manufacturer Fiocchetti.

These fridges are recognized as Medical Devices under the EU directive 93/42/EEC and as such are manufactured according to stringent UNI EN ISO standards.

The refrigerators have full CE compliance and have recently been certified for sale in Australia by the TGA. The Plasma range includes a number of compliance and traceability features as standard that make them suitable for the storage of blood products. These include full ECT-F digital temperature monitoring & recording combined with dual temperature probes to guarantee even temperatures inside each chamber.

University of NSW school of Medical Sciences wins Smeg Barbecue competition

Gallay Medical & Scientific would like to officially congratulate the Departments of Pharmacology and Physiology, School of Medical Sciences at UNSW who are the lucky winners of our Smeg Barbecue competition. Representatives from the department (Margaret and Balu) can be seen accepting their prize from Peter Branton, NSW Branch Manager for Gallay in the photo below. The department purchased a Captair ductless fume cabinet from Gallay during 2011 which also put them in the draw to win the Smeg Barbecue.

New small-footprint Belimed WD200 Washer-Disinfector

 

In its first product launch of 2012, Belimed has announced a brand new Washer-Disinfector named the WD200. 

Being a Belimed this Washer-Disinfector offers the highest performance available whilst also boasting a minimal width of only 68cm. This small size does not compromise loading volume as the WD200 has the capacity for 12 DIN trays per load. As expected of the 2012 Belimed range, the WD200 features a range of resource saving features:

  • Dynamic Fill matches water volume to rack and process materials, saving up to 20% water
  • Pre-heated RO water tank option offers up to 20% energy and media consumption saving by capturing the exhaust-air heat
  • New ECO instrument racks mean the WD200 is able to process 20% more instruments per cycle for its class
